Responsibilities and Tasks

In your role as a legal advisor, you will contribute to ensuring that the authority's information management is legally secure and compliant with regulations, and that the organization is permeated by a fundamental legal awareness.

Furthermore, you will help drive legal development to enhance the Payment Authority's role and operations within public administration.

Your focus will be to further develop the authority's legal governance and support together with your colleagues. This may involve interpreting and applying new legislation, developing legal support and governance documents or authority regulations, establishing processes and routines for the legal department's workflows, quality-assuring agreements and contracts, or otherwise providing guidance on relevant legal issues. The tasks will also include participation in development assignments regarding, for example, e-services and innovation. In your role as a legal advisor, you will translate legal requirements into effective processes and measures that support and create conditions for the organization to achieve its goals. The work requires high legal competence and the ability to solve complex legal issues based on a comprehensive regulatory framework while considering the organization's needs.

In your role, you will handle sensitive and confidential information, which places high demands on proper management and a strong security awareness.

We are looking for someone who has

  • Law degree or equivalent legal education
  • At least five years of relevant legal work experience as assessed by the employer
  • Experience presenting legal issues to decision-makers
  • Very good knowledge of data protection, public access to documents, confidentiality, and administrative law
  • Experience working with complex issues from a holistic perspective and understanding of operations

It is advantageous if you also have

  • Experience in regulatory work or development of governance and support documents
  • Experience in court work, such as clerkship or as a presenter
  • Experience collaborating in cross-functional groups
  • Experience with legal issues within the framework of IT development

The place of employment is in Stockholm. The authority is located in modern premises near Gullmarsplan. The position is classified in a security class, which requires Swedish citizenship. The position is a permanent full-time employment. The employment begins with a six-month probationary period. You may be assigned to the authority in case of a crisis.
